The Startup entrepreneur visa or residence permit for entrepreneurs provides an opportunity to start your own business or join innovative projects in Spain. This type of permit is available to those with entrepreneurial experience, innovative ideas, and a willingness to contribute to the development of the Spanish economy.
We recommend submitting the documents while being in Spain, as in this case, the residence permit is granted immediately for a period of 3 years.
Who can get it?
Foreigners who are not EU residents who are going to complete the preliminary formalities in order to be able to start a business in Spain.
Conditions for obtaining this permit include
- Proof applicant’s professional profile, educational background, and experience, as well as their involvement in the project. In the case of multiple partners, the participation of each will be assessed, both for those applying for the visa and those for whom it is not required.
- Business plan, including at least the following elements:
- Project description: planned entrepreneurial activities, start date, location, proposed legal form of the company, potential economic impact associated with investments, description of the number of jobs that, according to estimates, could be created, their roles and qualifications, planned marketing activities, and sales strategy.
- Description of the product or service: the description should be detailed and include innovative aspects.
- Market analysis: market assessment and expected evolution, description of potential competitors, evaluation of potential consumers, and analysis of supply and demand.
- Financing: required investments, sources of financing and financial plan.
- Added value for the Spanish economy, innovations, or investment opportunities.
