Living without working in Spain
The non-profit residence permit (Residencia NO LUCRATIVA) offers the opportunity to live in Spain without the right to official employment. This type of permit is suitable for those who do not plan to work in Spain but wish to reside in the country.
The application for this permit is submitted to the Spanish consulate in the country of which you are a citizen. The issuance scheme for this residency type is 1 year + 2 years + 2 years, and then renewable for 5 years with the right to work.
Conditions for obtaining this permit include
